Fake Car Alarm Kit
Here's probably the simplest kit to build in our kit lineup. It allows you to hopefully fool would-be car thieves by flashing a bright red LED. A blinking red LED is a common feature of many sophisticated burglar alarm systems, so would-be thieves usually avoid cars with a flashing red LED. Our simple kit comes complete with a fused cigarette plug in which you solder a resistor and a blinking red LED. The complete assembly looks very professional and is ready to insert into you cigarette lighter socket (Note: in most older vehicles the socket is always “HOT” but in some new cars the socket turns off when the ignition is off, so you may need to change the wire). There is no PC board used in this kit and soldering is minimal, but it is easy and fun to build! Skill Level 1.
